Late this week we got a note from our friends at The Wine Consultant asking if we’d seen bud break in the Napa Valley as of yet. The answer?
You bet! Many of the Chardonnay vines in the southern Napa Valley AVA of Carneros are showing signs of life as the weather has remained sunny and clear, with temperatures in the mid-70s to low-80s for nearly two weeks now. We snapped a couple photos of the buds for everyone, these were taken just outside the gates of Mahoney Vineyards.
Now, the concern shifts to the future weather forecast, which some have said includes a return to more ‘winter-like’ conditions by mid-next week…
