Just a quick post to follow-up on something we wrote about last week. Yesterday, the Napa Valley Register ran a story confirming that Oakville Grocery, the popular mid-valley grocer, was having financial troubles (could this be why, at the time of this post, the company’s website was down?) and is close to finalizing a sale.
The good news is there are reportedly no plans to close the original Oakville store (the Healdsburg and Palo Alto stores are also expected to remain open). Here’s a quick excerpt from the Register story:
Although the store is slated to change hands, Braddock said locals will not see many changes after the sale is finalized. “We’ll probably just clean it up a little bit, give it a fresh coat of paint and maybe redo the floors.â€Â
Happy to hear it!
