It’s late February and we’ve had some amazingly warm, sunny weather so far this year, making it feel a lot like Spring. This time of year in the Napa Valley means the beautiful colors of mustard are starting to sprout up all over the place (we took the photo currently in the header on 2/18 in Rutherford). It also marks the kick-off of several outdoor sporting events that come through the valley.

This week, bikers participating in the Amgen Tour of California, an 8-day, 700 mile bike race, rode through Napa on their way to Sacramento. Team Slipstream Sports powered by Chipotle have been keeping an online diary of their experiences–and Napa native Lucas Euser gave his thoughts on what it was like to race through his hometown.

With the bikers now in Solvang for today’s time trial, the Valley has shifted its focus to the 29th Annual Napa Valley Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, March 4th. Stay tuned…
