This being our first ever post on The Cork Board, we hope to give you an idea of what we’re up to and what we’re hoping to accomplish with our soon-to-be-launched Napa Valley community site Uncork29.
Having lived in the Napa Valley for the better part of 30 years, we’ve been asked for recommendations on the best places to eat, to stay, to sip wine, to relax, etc. so many times that we’ve lost count. While we certainly enjoy giving people our recommendations, it can become a bit tedious at times. Not only that, but there are plenty of folks who visit the Napa Valley every year (some 5+ million of you) who no-doubt have some amazing recommendations to share as well!
So, we’ve decided to create an online community where anyone and everyone can view and contribute their thoughts, comments, ratings, create and share itineraries and much more on the best the Napa Valley has to offer. We’re talking wineries, restaurants, hotels, motels, bed-and-breakfasts, golf courses, hot-air balloon rides, spas, hiking, biking, etc. We’ll focus strictly on the Napa Valley, after all, there are plenty of things to discover, explore and enjoy here!
We’re not into the in-you-face ads that the existing Napa Valley-focused websites throw at you, nor the boring city/county provided information about the valley. Perhaps most importantly, we want your help in building this site. If you have ideas, things you’d like to see us add, you notice something we’ve completely overlooked, feedback (positive or negative), we’re all ears!
We’re looking forward to this adventure and have some fun things planned already. Stay tuned…
