A group of 6 of us, two aficionados and 4 tag-alongs, visited Peju and 5 other wineries last Friday. This was one of the two best (Cuvaison was the other).
The grounds here are gorgeous. The tasting room is beautiful. They also had samples of the mustards and wine-chocolate sauces they sell, all of which were delicious.
Our pourer seemed a little disinterested in what he was doing, not quite as personable as the others we met that day, but he was very knowledgeable and this is really a small criticism overall.
My fiancee and I were being very judicious with our purchases, not wanting to spend too much while saving for our wedding, but the Peju chardonnay was exceptional (and chardonnays are my favorite) and the others we tasted were all good.
I would recommend this as a stop to include, if only for the beatuful grounds and buildings. Very worth the while!
