Go for Free, Stay for Reds

Complimentary wine tastings are a rare thing in the Napa Valley. If they are free, there is usually a reason. Jessup Cellars doesn't charge and doesn't disappoint. Their selection of wines started slowly with the Chardonnay and Rose. Then things quickly accelerated with the Merlot and Cabs and finally their ports. My particular favorites were the 2004 Merlot and the 2006 Cab. Of course, I never met a port I didn't want marry, and these were no different.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The bar is small but they have tables located throughout.
The wine prices are high but reasonable for Napa.
Some nice red wines!!

Didn't care too much for their one white wine and Rose, too light for my tastes. They so have some good tasting red wines. I personally like the Zinfandel the best. Took home a bottle of their Port. All their wines are a little pricey...
