There's no better way to celebrate a birthday than enjoying a few tasting glasses of sparkling wine at Domaine Carneros. We tasted 3 sparkling wines and fell in love with Le Reve Blanc de Blancs. We enjoyed our tastings with a plate of cheese and dried fruit (ordered separately from the wine tasting) and they really brought forth the different characteristics of each sparkling wine.
One line that we heard time and again during our visit was, "We'll take good care of you." Wow, they really did! The rep, Scott, took the time to explain the different wine making process for each of the bottles we tasted and answered any questions that we had about the wines. He even went the extra mile to stop by our table before going on his break to let us know that during his absence, there will be someone else checking on us to make sure that we were ok. Overall, the service and ambiance was professional and very polished but NOT pretentious or intimidating.
I highly recommend Domaine Carneros to anyone who is looking for a good wine tasting experience.
Perfect place to have my first Napa experience

Domaine Carneros was the first winery we went to in Napa, actually it was the first winery I've been to ever. I'm clearly no expert in wine tasting, so I'll briefly touch on the actual wine/sparkling wine itself: we tasted three different sparkling wines, I bought a bottle of each but really enjoyed the Cuvee da la Pompadour Rose. At the end of the tour we tasted a Pinot Noir which was also very tasty (note that I'm not an expert so I will refrain from using the usual lingo to describe wine and just say it was tasty). What I can say with confidence was that the view of this building and of the vineyard was absolutely stunning. The tour was also fantastic - our tour guide had a very dry humor that I really enjoyed. He was very informative for those of us who weren't familiar with the entire process, but there were some folks on the tour who were knowledgeable of wine and they enjoyed it as well. This was the perfect place to have my first Napa/wine tasting experience and I would definitely return.
