We hadn't planned on stopping here. But the "new winery" on the sign suckered me in. I'm glad we stopped. They were still working on their tasting room (as of 7/3/08) but we had a great sommellier, Rick Patton, who helped us out and was friendly and who, like many we met during our trip, were living their "second life" in Napa.

We picked up a 2004 Propietary Red which I'm very excited about. Could use another year or so before it enters it's prime, but it drinks smooth and silky with a lot of dark fruits and bit of smokiness (which sneaks up on you).

Overall, it's a good experience. Ask for Rick if you go. I only rated 3 stars because of the facility.
