Try the '04 Sycamore Cab

We dropped in on a recent afternoon and found ourselves treated to a wonderful sit-down tasting of four library Cabernet Sauvignons. Our hostess, Diane, told us that we were 'guinea pigs' of sorts in that they were testing out this particular tasting and would soon be rolling it out as a regular option.
The tasting room was buzzing, although not super busy by any stretch. The grounds were beautiful and the indoor seating area (where we tasted) was comfortable and inviting.
We tried the 1995 Sycamore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2003 "Bootleg" Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2004 Sycamore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2004 Bosche Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (the Bosche is the winery's flagship wine). Our favorite of the day was the 2004 Sycamore Cabernet Sauvignon, which goes for $55 per 750ml bottle and had amazing flavor notes of dark chocolate and blackberry and a nice, long finish. This wine was just released two weeks ago.
Definitely worth a stop if you're in the St. Helena area--would be ideal to sit on the outdoor patio when the weather is nice.
